Demanding Saturday for the LCR E-Team at the Sachsenring

LCR E-Team has experienced the most challenging weekend of the season so far at the Sachsenring.

It was a tricky start to the day for the LCR E-Team as Brazilian Eric Granado suffered a nasty crash on the first lap of Race 1 and had to be taken to the hospital due to the impact he received on the head. Despite the severity of the incident, after the medical checks at the hospital in Chemnitz, the results luckily revealed that the rider didn’t suffer significant consequences, which is the most important thing.

On the other side of the box, teammate Casadei couldn’t nail the job he was determined to do. He lacked some feeling on the bike, and the rainy conditions in the afternoon prevented him from pushing and fighting for the top positions. He ended up 9th in both race one and race two.

“It’s been such a difficult Saturday. Despite trying to push and recover positions in the morning race, I didn’t feel good on the bike. In the afternoon, the rain and the demanding conditions didn’t allow us to do our desired job. We’ll try again on the next races”.

“I’m fine, and that’s the most important thing; although the crash was scary and could have ended worse, it was the beginning of the race, and we were all very close. Now, I’ll focus on recovering and preparing for the next races. I want to thank the team and everybody supporting me unconditionally”.
