Double podium for Casadei in Austria!
LCR E-team Mattia Casadei has taken double podium at the Red Bull Ring after finishing 3rd in Race 1 and in Race 2.
Starting from the 9th spot of the grid, Italian rider Mattia Casadei has carried out two solid and clever races at the Red Bull Ring. Handling the situation, vigorously fighting against rivals until the last inch of the last lap, he’s crossed the line 3rd in both races.
On the other side of the box, things have turned out complicated despite a consistent potential this weekend. When fighting for the podium in race 1, another rival’s mistake made Eric end on the gravel, finishing his chances. In the afternoon, to avoid a crash after an incident in front of him, he lost many positions and finally crossed the line 10th.

“I’m really happy after today’s podiums; we needed them. We were strong this weekend and could have fought for the victory, but we made a mistake in qualifying and had to start from the back of the grid, jeopardizing our possibilities. The fight for the title will be tough, but we don’t give up, and we’ll push until the end”.

“When fighting for the podium on the first race, another rider made me crash, and I lost my options. In the afternoon, I wanted to recover from that situation, but unfortunately, to avoid crashing due to another incident, I lost several positions and finished 10th. It’s been a shame because we felt fast and strong this weekend and had the potential to fight for the first positions”.
