POINTS FINISH FOR THE LCR DUO IN LE MANS ON SUNDAYS RACE
LCR rider Miquel Pons was not able to reproduce the comeback he made on Saturday’s Race 1, but he still managed to finish 10th on Sunday in LeMans. Brazilian rider Eric Granado struggled again with his bike and finished 5th.
As Race 2 of the second round of the 2022 FIM Enel MotoE™ World Cup got underway at sunny LeMans, Eric Granado started again from the 2nd row of the grid (P4) and went to P8 on the first lap then slowly recovered positions.
Pons started from P13 as Torres was declared unfit to ride, maintained his position until the last 2 laps, pushed and crossed the checkered flag in P12 but classified 10th after Xavier Fores got a 3 seconds penalty.
Eric Granado is now 2nd with 70 points in the rider standings while teammate Miquel Pons earned 16 points in total during the weekend and is now 6th in the with 44 points.
The LCR E-Team will be back on track for the third round of the 2022 FIM Enel MotoE™ World Cup at the Autodromo Internazionale del Mugello, May 27,28,29th.
