GRANADO JUST OUTSIDE THE TOP 3, PONS P8 IN RACE 1 AT MUGELLO

After sunny and dry conditions on Friday, Race 1 of the Italian Round of the FIM Enel MotoE™ World Cup got underway on Saturday in wet at Mugello Circuit. The LCR E-Team finished within the Top 10, Eric Granado crossed the finish line in 4^th position and Miquel Pons, 8^th.

Sitting 4th overnight, Brazilian star Eric Granado claimed 4th position after a superb ride on Saturday’s Race at Mugello. Eric had incredible pace and fought throughout the race to be on the podium climbing as high as P1 on the second Lap. Unfortunately, he was overtaken just before crossing the finish line.

Teammate Miquel Pons started Saturday’s race from P9 as his best qualifying lap time was cancelled due to sanction concerning his tyre pressure level. Nonetheless, the Spaniard was able to finish 8^th with lap times equal to those of Granado, but his pace was slowed down by the riders in front of him.
