Granado takes podium at the Circuit of Barcelona-Catalunya
LCR E-Team rider Eric has clinched the second step of the podium on Race 1 at the Circuit of Barcelona-Catalunya.
The LCR E-Team’s Catalan Grand Prix has finished with a bittersweet feeling: Brazilian Eric Granado, starting from pole position, took the podium in the morning, and Italian Mattia Casadei, who occupied the second spot of the grid, took a solid sixth place.
However, the afternoon race presented a different challenge. Granado lost the front and ended up in the gravel at turn 5, while Casadei also experienced a crash.

“It’s been a very positive weekend for us, despite the crash on race 2. I’ve felt good on the bike the whole weekend, and we are doing well with the team. Taking the podium on the day’s first race has been amazing. We’ll try to repeat the result in Mugello”.

“We wanted to do a different weekend, but this is part of racing. I didn’t feel good with the tyre in the first race, although I finished sixth and scored valuable points. I didn’t expect the crash on the second race, as I wanted to get the best possible result. Thanks to the team for their job; we’ll try again in Mugello”.
