P5 FOR PONS IN JEREZ AND ZANNONI MANAGES TO EARN POINTS
In sunny conditions, Race 1 of the third season of the FIM Enel MotoE™ World Cup was held on Sunday at Circuito de Jerez-Ángel Nieto.
Miquel Pons claimed a fine top 5 finish at the Gran Premio de España on Sunday to sign off in impressive style his first ever race on the Energica Ego Corsa. Starting from the fourth row, the Spaniard was able to move through the field and recover 5 positions.
Unfortunately, Kevin Zanonni was taken down by Corentin Perolari on the first lap, after recovering some positions. Nevertheless, the Italian was able to get back on the bike and finish his first MotoE race within the points.
The LCR Duo worked hard during the weekend and are determined make a yet another step forward at the next race, in France. We will see them again on the track, at the legendary LeMans circuit in two weeks time.
