Podium success for LCR E-Team at the Austrian Grand Prix
LCR E-Team riders Mattia Casadei and Eric Granado both reached the podium on Saturday at the Austrian Grand Prix.
- Starting from the front row of the grid, Mattia Casadei and Eric Granado were determined to fight for the podium and even for victory, as they had already demonstrated great potential during practice sessions, proving to be strong and fast.
- In Race 1, Eric Granado delivered a consistent and smart performance, managing the pressure flawlessly and avoiding mistakes to secure 3rd place. Unfortunately, teammate Casadei crashed on the opening lap.
- In Race 2, the roles were reversed: this time Mattia Casadei pushed hard and claimed an excellent 2nd-place finish. On the other side of the garage, Granado was unlucky and crashed out on the last lap, while he was on his way to another podium.
- It was a rollercoaster of emotions for the team, who remain focused on continuous improvement and are already preparing for the next round, scheduled to take place next week in Hungary.

“I’m happy with the first race, it was great to be back on the podium after the recent struggles. It’s an amazing feeling, and I want to thank the team for their support and the great job they did this weekend. In the second race, while I was close to the podium, I opened my line to avoid taking another rider down, but unfortunately, I crashed anyway. Still, I take the positives from the weekend and I’m ready for the next round!”

“Race 1 was difficult; I didn’t expect the crash on the first lap. We reacted well, and this podium is for the team because they worked until the last minute to be ready. We managed to take the second step on the podium. I want to continue like this: we are competitive, and we’ll give our best to keep achieving the best possible results.”
