ERIC GRANADO FINISHES 3RD IN FIRST MOTOE TEST OF 2022

The first Official FIM Enel MotoE™ World Cup test of the 2022 season has come to an end and LCR E-Team rider Eric Granado managed to finish 3rd marking his best lap time on day one in Jerez. Teammate Miquel Pons had to undergo a last-minute surgery on Sunday and missed the test.

As the electric class resumed track action on Monday, for the first of three days of pre-season testing, the LCR E-Team was back on track without rider Miquel Pons. The Spaniard arrived to Jerez on Sunday, but had to undergo surgery due to appendicitis. Pons was discharged from the Hospital on Monday but was unable to go ahead with the test.

The opening day of testing in Jerez ends with Eric Granado as 2nd fastest on the Combined Times Sheet (1’48.925). The Brazilian rider managed to finish 5th
on Day 2, with his lap time set during session 2. Unfortunately, Granado crashed on the last corner before ending the session and had to sit out the final session of the day and Day 3. Eric suffered a partial rupture of the thigh muscle but according to Dr. Ángel Charte he’ll recover in a few weeks just in time for the second MotoE test which will take place on 11,12 and 13th of April at Circuito de Jerez-Ángel Nieto.
