LCR E TEAM IN THE TOP 5 AT JEREZ TEST 2

The FIM Enel MotoE™ World Cup resumed track action on Monday at the Circuito de Jerez-Angel Nieto for the final test ahead of the 2022 season kick off, which will take place at the same venue in little over two week’s time. The LCR duo managed to finish in the top 5.

With a few changes to their working schedule, due to track conditions the LCR duo completed a Q1-Q2 format qualifying simulation on Monday, skipped track on Tuesday and took part in a Race Simulation on Wednesday.

After injuring himself during the first winter test in March, LCR E-Team rider Eric Granado came back stronger than ever and finished Day 1 on top of the time sheets. Teammate Miquel Pons unfortunately, missed the first test in March, (due to a last-minute emergency surgery) so Monday was Miquel’s first contact with his Energica bike in 2022. He didn’t go straight to Q2 but finished P2 in Q1 earning his spot on the Q2 and then finished 4th.

Both riders continued to improve their lap time session by session and took part in a Race Simulation on Wednesday. Unfortunately, both experienced technical problems. Granado, who started from Pole Position was able to finish the race, P14. Pons, retired.
