ERIC GRANADO TAKES AMAZING SECOND PLACE IN ASSEN
The first race of the fourth and final round of the 2022 FIM Enel MotoE World Cup before the summer break got underway on Saturday at the historic TT Circuit Assen and it was an exciting one.
Starting from the first row of the grid, LCR E-Team rider Eric Granado claimed his 4th podium of the season finishing 2nd putting up a fight throughout the race and producing an espectacular overtake at the last lap, final sector.
Spanish rider Miquel Pons, sitting 5th overnight, was unable to find the gap he needed to overtake and crossed the chequered flag 6th, earning valuable points for the World Cup.
It is LCR’s 9th podium since the all-elect ric class was created in 2019. Brazilian rider Eric Granado is still 2nd in the World Cup with 114 points in total and Miquel Pons is 5th, with 79 points.
