FANTASTIC WIN FOR MIQUEL PONS IN BARCELONA

Unforgettable first victory for the LCR E-team at Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya on Sunday. Spanish rider Miquel Pons secured his first win in the all-electric class, the 2021 FIM Enel MotoE World Cup.

Having qualified 4th during the e-pole on Saturday, the Spaniard, pushed through the field consistently and got his first victory in LCR colours. Teammate Kevin Zannoni managed a points finish ending up 12th, having felt better on his Ego Corsa on the Catalan track.

It is a special day for the LCR Team, on the year of its 25th anniversary, because with this victory, the team has won in every category they’ve ever competed in.

The LCR squad is already looking forward for the next round. Pons earned significant points with this win and is now 4th in the overall rider’s classification. We’ll see the LCR E-Team back on track for the 4th round of the 2021 FIM Enel MotoE World Cup in 3 week’s time, at the legendary TT Circuit Assen, also known as “The Cathedral”.
