LCR E-TEAM BACK ON TRACK AFTER SUMMER BREAK

FIM Enel MotoE™ World Cup resumed track action today at the Red Bull Ring after the category skipped the track in 2020. The LCR E-Team had a great start of the second part of the season finishing P6, Miquel Pons and P12, Kevin Zannoni.

The rookies had never ridden here in Austria with the Energica machines and showed great promise for Sunday’s race, both having improved their lap times in FP2. Italian rider Kevin Zannoni suffered mechanical problems during FP1 but fortunately he could achieve a better lap time in the afternoon session. Admitting having done a step forward compared to the last race held in Assen due to training over the summer break. Miquel Pons, also displayed a better lap time in FP2 having had some track limits penalties in the morning while still adjusting to this new track.

The all-electric class will be back on track Saturday at 8:15 (GMT +2) for FP3 and Sunday’s grid positions will be decided, as usual, in the afternoon, during the E-Pole, which starts at 16:10 (GMT +2)
