INCREDIBLE COMEBACK FOR PONS AND POINTS FINISH FOR ZANNONI

Positive day for the LCR E-Team in Assen on Sunday’s race, during the fourth round of the FIM Enel MotoE World Cup.

LCR rider Miquel Pons claimed 10th position after a superb ride, having started from the back of the grid. The Spaniard was able to move through the field after producing an incredible start, overtaking riders in the first lap. Pons had to settle for P10 but his fast lap was only 3 tenths slower than that of the race winner Eric Granado. Encouraging result, considering it was Pons first time at the venue.

Rider Kevin Zannoni managed to finish P13, earning some more points for the Championship. The LCR E-Team rider has demonstrated a stronger pace and was able to maintain his position but admits there is still room for improvement for the second part of the season.

The all-electric class will be back on track after the summer break as the FIM Enel MotoE World Cup returns to the Red Bull Ring in Austria, August 15th.
