MIQUEL PONS FIRST POLEMAN OF 202
Circuito de Jerez-Angel Nieto hosts the 2022 season opener of the FIM Enel MotoE™ World Cup and it’s a spectacular start for the LCR E-Team.
Eric Granado finished P1 and Miquel Pons P6 in the combined times sheets of the free practice showing to be amongst the pace setters in the morning, moving straight to Q2.
In the afternoon, it was the Q1-Q2 qualifying format debut for the all-electric class. Spanish rider Miquel Pons was so fast setting his lap time that even though he crashed out, he retained the pole position.
Teammate Eric Granado had marked the fastest lap later on the session but unfortunately it was cancelled due to a yellow flag. He finished 4th.
The LCR Duo will start from the first two rows of the grid for both Race 1, tomorrow Saturday at 16:15 pm (Local Time) and Race 2 on Sunday, right after the MotoGP Race 15:30 pm.
